At-a-Glance…. BOAT CAMP Nature School connects kids to the outdoors:

  • Nonprofit 501(c)3 founded in 2007 by Captains Rob & Kate Yeomans.
  • Full-time staff of two and per-diem/seasonal staff of 24.
  • Uses six Newburyport-based passenger vessels, 30-acres of private land leased in Newbury, thousands of acres of  conservation lands and Gulf of Maine coastal waters.
  • Served upwards of 1,400 kids in 2012, year-round.
  • Fastest growing nonprofit in greater Newburyport, operating on 80% earned income and 20% from philanthropy.
  • Summer 2013 registration opened online at midnight on November 7, 2012.  Of 576 available slots, 237 were filled by 6 p.m.. proving the incredible level of community interest in programs for all ages.
