The 42-foot Erica Lee is a Bruno-Stillman hull, finished by Capt. Bob Yeomans in 1980. She is U.S. Coast Guard inspected annually and licensed for 30 passengers. Powered by an 892 Detroit 600hp diesel, she cruises at 16 knots and carries the latest marine electronics, a pc-based Maptech navigation system, including 3-d underwater cartography, and safety equipment.
In addition to a variety of fishing gear and educational tools, she is also equipped with an underwater video camera and color television monitor, and an otter trawl for scientific collection. We also utilize a small tender to ferry folks ashore when visiting islands, beaches, tidal flats or marshes.
Here's a map to the boat. We are docked near the Black Cow Tap & Grill at Hilton's Marina, steps away from our new waterfront learning center, inside the home of Newburyport Whale Watch (right next door to Plum island Roasters) at 54R Merrimac St. Newburyport.
